As part of our projects, we work in partnership with local actors to develop scenarios for economic development and heat recovery. These exchanges are regular in relation to the different phases of project implementation.

STEPS IN A PROJECT

The application for an exclusive research permit for the identified area is the first necessary step in a high-energy geothermal project. From this point of view, our approach is structured in four main phases:

PROJECTS

Chaudes-Aigues /Coren

The selected perimeter includes many mineral springs with indices of circulation of hot and deep geothermal fluids. The particular context of the Chaudes Aigues zone with its dense cluster of faults and veins of microgranites is a priority area for scientific exploration conducted by Electerre de France. This should make it possible to conclude on the existence and the feasibility of natural drains for deep and hot fluids while improving the knowledge on the existing resurgences in order to control the risks of impact.

Electerre de France wishes to develop a micro-power generation and heat plant on the principle of a geothermal doublet. Partnerships are sought in connection with communities for the exploitation and use of this energy (shelter, aqualudism, agriculture, agri-food, collective heating).

Sancy

The selected perimeter integrates a geological context, particularly volcanic, considered as favorable to high-temperature geothermal. The scientific exploration carried out by Electerre de France must make it possible to conclude on the existence and the exploitability of a geothermal reservoir before proposing targets for exploration drilling.

Electerre de France wishes to develop a small power and heat generating plant by exploiting a geothermal deposit at high temperature on the principle of a geothermal doublet. Partnerships are sought in connection with communities for the exploitation and use of this energy (shelter, aqualudism, agriculture, agri-food, collective heating).

Riom / Clermont

This zone contains one of the strongest geothermal potentials of the French metropolis, it has been recognized and identified by numerous studies. The Fonroche Géothermie and Electerre de France companies are pooling their efforts to develop this virtuous natural resource. The objective is to exploit a resource of high-temperature geothermal water from a geothermal power station. This facility will produce electricity and heat. The industrialists located in the zone as well as the communities are at our side to develop the opportunities based on this energy.

Reunion Island

Electerre de France has partnered with Akuo Energy Indian Ocean in the company Volcanergie to apply for a PER on the island of Réunion.

The selected perimeter concerns the Piton des neiges and more particularly the circuses of Cilaos and Salazie where there are indices favorable to high-temperature geothermal. Scientific exploration conducted by Volcanergie is to conclude on the existence and feasibility of a geothermal reservoir before proposing targets for exploration drilling.
